You're asking the wrong person. I am completely new to the mechanics of any vehicle. I'm learning a little at a time though. Good luck with working out mud! Since this posted a while back I am guessing you've had a look at it.

Battery sounds drained from cranking.
If the distributor cap is submerged, it needs to be dried out. look for a product called wire drier. get your jeep out of the water, & spray that stuff under the cap then wait a few minutes & try jumpstarting it.
You have any friends with a winch, or do you have a come-a-long hoist to get it out of the water?

Failing that, you might be looking at bailing out the mudpit with buckets, until you can get the water level below the distributor.
