Got new clutch in the mail. . . I drove the restored 92 today, VERY nice. Drives good, looks good. Engine looks good, inline 6, guy seems credible, but how can I tell if it's been restored for sure?

Given a choice, 4 cyl. with 100 k miles or 6 cyl. with 160 k miles, which would you go for if the prices were close, not considering any other factors.

RE: SOA CJ7: too top heavy? The ad was wrong, not a V6 he said. Supposedly his brother in law is a mechanic and helped him restore it, got to admit it has me intersested. The 98 sold in 1 day, the 92 "never off road" owner didn't speak english very well.

Looks like there's a lot more 4 cyl's for sale than 6's in my price range (< $6k, as second vehicle). Are the 4's that bad or do most people, from what i've read and heard, just prefer the 6's? I've seen a couple of early 90's SE's, < 90K miles for under $5K. Late 90's Sports/Sahara's put me...
