When you set up gears in a axle you need to know what your doing. There is alot of precise measurements like your backlash and gaping. If one of these are off the rear end will grenade and you will be back where you started. A mistake could also damage your transfer case. It's not rocket science...

I don't believe so. I just removed the two sensors that where held into the tb by two torx bolts each. I took the two torxs bolts off the IAC ( One on each side that hold the sensor to the Tb) then pulled it out and installed it on the 4.0 tb

What type if grease did you use?

I did the throttle body swap a month ago. Every time I start the Jeep up the RPMs stay at 2500 RPMs for a few minutes. then falls back to idle around 500.RPMs if I hit the throttle again the motor dose not fall back to idle like it should. It slowly goes back to idle. Acts like a sticking...

Who's Manuel? Haha I would hold out for a 95 and up 8.8 they come with disc brake which is a nice upgrade. Make sure you match the gear ratio with your front end. And once you buy one make sure you weld the axle tubes to the diff. They are pressed in and could spin lose when wheeling.

Go with the 8.8 I beat the living heck out if my yj. Running 36x13.50 cheap and easy swap. Got one from a 2000 explorer with lsd discs and matching 410s for 200 bucks

I love my 8.8 found one with discs, lsd and matching gear ratio for 200 bucks at a junk yard . Very easy swap just alittle grinding and welding new seals and bearings.I run 36x 13.50 and never had a issue.

I drive it very little it's mostly a Wheeler. Maybe a 100 miles a month. I belive both sensors are installed correctly.

I unplugged the battery for a few hours last night and didn't make any difference. we will See if it works it out on it's own.

Ya I used the sensors off of my old tb. The issue I have now is when idling and I give it gas then release fast and it slowly comes back down to 700 rpm.

Got the bolt out finally. The bigger throttle body help. not a ton of power but noticeable. one issue I have is when I let off the throttle it takes longer to return to idle.

That's what I figured. I got the 4.0 for free off of my buddies doner cherokee. I seen a few guys on this fourm talk about how it gives the little 4 bangger alittle better throttle response. I don't expect better mpgs or for it to do wheel stands.lol
