trade half doors and 5 new tires for full doors +CASH$$$ yj

I have a set of red YJ full doors. There is a few small rust spots near where the upper frame meets the doors. The passenger wing window has issues with it's lower pivot. I put a clip on it to keep it locked shut. No keys & no mirrors. There is also some hammer marks near the jamb latches on...

    transmission issues!

Leaf spring wrap can cause this as well, under hard acceleration. But I doubt you'd only notice it in third gear, more likely felt in first.

    Loud "pop" in 1st & 2nd gear

This pop accompanied by the shifter sticking slightly during shifting? Clutch might not fully disengaging, due to air bubbles in the hydraulic line. Shifter would stick while pulling it out of gear. If the loud pop is accompanied by a momentary loss in forward momentum, it could be the transfer...

    Yup, its under water (video)

The Yellow one looks pretty sweet! Be nicer if the windshield folded down though. I like the cage & door opening nerf bars, & the "X" braced main hoop. Fender treatments are tight as well.

    Carb for 258

The MC2100's deal, is that you get one for $25.00 to $30.00 at the nearest junkyard. You then rebuild it, (easy as pie) with a kit from the local big box parts house. (Advance Auto, Autozone) The adapter is Mr. Gasket #1937, & you fab up some linkage using a cut off piece of the throttle lever...

    CJ running hot!

Try changing the T-stat first. A six blade fan might be better. After you've tried everything else you can think of, consider this; Bucky's "engine runs hot" fix. While it might not be your problem, it is a possibility. Besides, changing your freeze plugs can't hurt & you'll know for sure...

    Engine Hisitation?

This recently happened to my 4.2L! After much searching & testing, I somehow got the idea to remove the vacuum hose from the EGR valve & plug it. Runs great now, & for $90.00 they can keep the replacement EGR, I just left it plugged.:shades:

Newbie paid $500 for this CJ7

Don't worry, I really am not insulted. I know my square eyes are there to designate the YJ as the best jeep ever!!!:p I only give advise to CJ folks if it's something general, as I've never owned a CJ (not that I wouldn't be proud to have one!) I'd go with both, since you already have the...

    Block problems.

This^^^ and there's an old school drag racer's trick if that doesn't work. You can make some "Elephant Ears", these are big plates that mount either between the engine & transmission or to some of the bolts on the front of the engine Such as the water pump & accessory bracket mounts. Also, you...
