Old ones don't look that bad to me, I'd see if they can be turned first but it also looks like you got the new one already. Might hang onto the old one if it's still turnable, may be a good spare. If it was only the one side, you may want to be sure the caliper wasn't hanging up.

I have seen this come up on other boards with the 4:10/4:11 combo. Pretty sure it won't matter, unless it's a fulltime setup like an NP203. You don't go around using 4WD on dry pavement, since it can cause rollover with any gears.

That is some weird chit! Almost to the level of twilight zone weird. Don't know what the relation is, but you might want to check those connections to see if any are loose at the terminal, or where the wire crimps into it's terminal end. Check all the battery wires too. Jeeps also need to...

Here's another one, I removed my front fenders to fab some hood mounted ones. (3/4' EMT conduit & ductwork sheetmetal) I even moved the marker lights to the hood. The duraspark box got mounted just above the charcoal can on the firewall. Problem, what to do with the coolant & windshield...

Battery sounds drained from cranking. If the distributor cap is submerged, it needs to be dried out. look for a product called wire drier. get your jeep out of the water, & spray that stuff under the cap then wait a few minutes & try jumpstarting it. You have any friends with a winch, or do you...

MC2100's are easily rebuilt, it is one of the easiest to do. This is why we are all using them on the 4.2l I6. Whatever you do, don't toss the old one if you decide to replace it. Good to have around for parts, or you could sell it to someone who needs it & doesn't mind the rebuild.

I don't know about the 4.0, but I'm pretty sure the 4.2 has an "O" ring where the dipstick tube goes into the block. It's not press fit, rather the mounting bracket holds it down in there.

I like my Smittybuilt glovebox vault. Seems pretty strong, although the door is a little loose when closed. (doesn't draw up tight) It isn't watertight either. Of course you could get one of these to keep an eye out! Notice the test vehicle at the end of the vid.
