I have one of those Smittybuilt glovebox vaults in my YJ, & it seems pretty strong. It's not watertight though, & the door is slightly loose when closed but it has bumpers inside for the door.

I agree, especially with a 2nd gear roll on under full throttle. I have say I was impressed when I saw that. Must be nice to have that option!

X-eleventy on the MC2100! Nuttering & the TeamRush ignition upgrade go well with this mod.

I've read that the 8.8 is stronger. It still is a C-clip axle though. C-clip eliminators are available, but were usually designed for drag racing, not offroading.

Your best bet is gonna be a small block Chevy. You'll want to to board searches on several jeep forums before tackling this swap. The more info you gather, the easier it will be when you get started.

X2 on stuck open T-stat, replace it soon. Your engine needs to run at 190* to keep the air/fuel mix atomized. At lower temps, condensed liquid fuel washes the oil off the cylinder walls greatly reducing engine lifespan. (Ring wear will be accelerated)

Is the blower still energized, or just vent air passing through? Might just be an internal duct door stuck open.
