have you seen one of these(LOOK)

I have seen those before on the internets, interesting fender treatments. Don't they come stock with lockers? Looks pretty capable! Nice cage too. I like it, kinda the same way Harley riders like Triumph's.

    How many?

Just two for me, my current 90 YJ & my old 1978 Ramcharger. Never did get that Dodge stuck, & I sure did try to! While I miss that old gas guzzler, I do like my YJ better & I'm a Mopar guy from day one!

YOU KNOW YOU HAVE A REAL JEEP IF...

This thread is seriously funny & so true! You break a shock absorber mounting tab, pull over & weld it with the second alternator that lives under your hood & are back under way in 15 minutes! You keep a squeegy in your console box, because as smart as those designers were they neglected to...

    still torn between exhaust

Yeah near Rock Hill, I'm actually in Clover. About 20 minutes north of that town, & 10 minutes from the town of York. I'm on the member map on this board. We only had one red light when I got here two years ago, now they added two more. One of our members at CCOR goes by the username of...

    copper question

I would use silver solder before putting lead anywhere near food or drink. You need a hotter torch, I use a turbo torch; turbo torch mapp gas - Google Product Search Nice plus to it is that it sweats copper plumbing joints much quicker. I just used mine last night to sipe my bald rear tires...

    copper question

I would use silver solder before putting lead anywhere near food or drink. You need a hotter turbo torch for the propane though. Plus side is they work better on plumbing joints too. I just used my turbo torch last night to heat up a sharpened hunk of 3/8" steel tube to sipe my back tires...

    still torn between exhaust

I like my Thrush welded a whole lot, pretty sweet sound & not too loud. Where abouts in S.C. are you, I'm in York county myself. I have a club up here, called Lake Wylie Wheelers if you are interested.

    front axle U joints

You did check to see if there were any "C"-clips holding the cups in right? Just checking, you wouldn't be the first to not notice them.

    Bent flange on 8.8???

8.8 from a junkyard? Maybe it was hit on that wheel, causing it to bend. Junkyard stuff can sometimes have hidden damage from a wreck or other reasons.

    Rear track bar on YJ

I ditched both track bars, not needed with leaf springs. I did this to the front swaybar, & can disconnect it in about one minute. so I keep it hooked up for street driving. Cheapest Sway Bar Disco's Ever (for stock length links)

    Oil leak want go away

Supposed to be an "O" ring in there that's replaceable. Exercise caution during removal or you will also break it off. After removing the bolt that holds the tab, gently wiggle it out.

    door problem

The hinge brackets are slightly adjustable, if you can loosen them. The bolts thread into nuts that are welded to the tub, & the welds tend to break. If you can get a wrench on each nut, you may be able to hold them from ripping loose. If the front edge of the door is not hitting the tub, then...

Broke it on the trail today...

I have a CenterforceII clutch kit. I have heard that the little weights that help it lock up tighter as the rpm's increase, can also cause the clutch to remain disengaged if they get packed with mud. I try to stay out of the mud now. Next clutch will be a LUK gold.

Removing AC pump & everything associated with the AC?

Shame I didn't remember this sooner, but many parts stores carry bypass belts for A.C. vehicles. Most vehicles have a belt routing diagram, (sticker) that shows routing for bypass belts. You could have left everything connected & in place.

Okay, How do I get this wheel off?

That gets you extra points! I have found the redneck fixes for most things to be far superior to textbook methods! Sure you may loose a finger, or bleed profusely but look at the $$$ you save! If you saw all the redneck/junkyard mods on my YJ, you'd instantly know I was complimenting you &...
