Okay, How do I get this wheel off?

Scissor jack & a tie down strap to pull a steering wheel? This cinches it, your IN! No worries, being a redneck ain't so bad. I've learned to live with it!

    Dead yet again

I meant to say ECM box, it's on the driver's front fender, below the reservoirs. If it's fairly new & from a big box parts house, it may not be made very well (China). The real Duraspark ECM's are made better, & you should look for one at the junkyards. If you've done the HEI module deal, then...

    New Seats or Seat Covers

I use big black plastic trash bags, called "Drum Liners". These are used in 55 gallon drums & fit the bucket seats with a little extra room. Nice to put on the seats when the bikini top is on, for wheeling. Keeps the rain & cats off when parked overnight too!

    Dead yet again

I don't think you have that sensor either. What shape is your ECU in? Is it a real duraspark box? I try to find real ones on every trip to the junkyard, (since they don't make them anymore) only found one so far in an f-250. Not sure how to test that puppy either. Also, when you say "TFI" you...

    bad ground???

You say "Good spark", was this from the coil or at the plugs? A good spark at the plugs should rule out a bad ground. Of course you know it takes a while for a mechanical fuel pump to fill the carb bowl? If you recently did a chain, & this problem started then, it could be off a few teeth...

    Driveline Vibration

Bent shafts can be straightened with an arbor press, some "V" blocks & a dial indicator. Oh, and a healthy shot of patience.

    Welding facts

I took a 6 month course when I was a kid, at Airco tech in Philly. I was planning a career, & ended up doing it for a living, for 16 years. These courses can be expensive, but you may be able to get grants. Short of that, & if your looking to do this only as a hobby, then check the nearest...

    Which seats fit?

Haven't tried this myself, but it looks like it would work. http://www.jeepaholics.com/tech/ mustang seats / mustang seats .htm Cavalier seats are similar. Either way, the seats may be tilted back too far. You may need to shim up the rear of the riser mounts. There are many other seats that...

    Tracloc

On flat ground chock the front wheels & jack the rear axle up, until both rear tires are just above the ground.put the transmission in neutral & release the parking brake. Without getting any part of your body under the vehicle, turn one rear tire while watching the other. Use safety stands...

    Transmission swap

Personally I don't think the AX5 will be up to the task behind a six banger. You really should look for an AX15.

Yj with snowballing issues please help

Don't forget to see about that bushing too. If the slip-yolk has a loose fit beyond the seal (bushing rides on the same surface as the seal, around the yolk's outside diameter only closer to the end of the yolk) then it may need to be replaced, or the new seal could only last a short time.

Yj with snowballing issues please help

A picture is worth a thousand words, & it may have taken that many words without the pics I posted to explain it all. As far as the info goes, there is more than I have time for. I posted the what I feel is needed to get started, J/U's archives contain all you'll ever need on the subject of...

Yj with snowballing issues please help

Same thing happened to me. Recently, I found out there is also a guide bushing inside the tailhouse. The slipyolk spins inside the bushing, & is held true by it. If this bushing gets to be too worn, it can let the yolk wobble slightly. That can wipe out a seal rather quickly. I may go back &...

Here is a link to J/U's MC2100 database; MC 2100 database? - JeepsUnlimited.com Forums If you register there, like you did for this board, you can do a board search for MC2100. There are tons of threads with much info about doing this swap.

Yj with snowballing issues please help

I can help you with the MC2100 install. I am assuming you are referring to the carb base adapter as the transfer plate. The linkage is easy if you cut the throttle lever off the Carter BBD. Only the part that has the ball stud that connects the bellcrank, or vertical link. If your MC2100 has...

1st Time Owner has a Big Problem

I run a 10" steering wheel. With power steering it's not too bad on the arms. Looks better too, IMHO. I also have the Grant anti theft device. This allows the steering wheel to be removed with a special key. There is a metal cap that goes over the column after wheel removal. I'd imagine it...
