    Vaccum Motor Problems??

Maybe the vacuum lines got switched somehow. Here's a schematic, if you want to check.

    Red Wire?

Yep, & you should try to hook it back up if you can. It helps warm the fue/air mixture, but only until the thermostat lets warm water circulate through the intake. This keeps liquid gas from washing the cylinder walls, thereby extending engine life.

    brake help

X2, & once you get all the leaks squared away hose everything off with brake parts cleaner before re-assembly. Drums, backing plates, springs & clips, everything!

    miss in ignition

Best advice i can give, is to try to find a true ford duraspark box at the junkyard. They don't make them anymore, so grab 2 or 3 if you can find them. It'll have "Duraspark" on the label.

No more vacuum in fuel sys

Personally, I'd check the engine oil level before starting it again. Not sure if your model is supposed to have vacuum in the fuel tank, but you could try putting the old cap back on.

    High Altitude Jumper YJ

You might have to use the zoom feature in the view dropdown of your toolbar to see it clearly. It's midway down the left side of the page.

    Clutch Won't Engage 2002 Wrangler

Dang, we could have warned you about the skidplate bolts. Trick is to drill a (small) hole in the side of the frame just above the nut, then soak it with PB Blaster for a few days before trying to loosen them.

    Homemade Rock Rack

OK I see it now, good idea on making it harder to remove for the clepto's! So the whole thing opens with the tailgate, That's not a bad idea! I already have a hitch mounted rack like you see on the road, with three ice chests on it. Only I made my own years ago & it can haul a complete small...

Secret to removing front hub assembly???

There's also someway to put a socket between the hub & knuckle, then use the steering wheel to force it apart. I've never done it though & can't remember where i saw the instructions.

    1989 YJ Engine Cutting Out

Cool beans! Just remember the TeamRush tune-up when the time comes. Also if that BBD ever gives you any more crap, get an MC2100 from the junkyard & rebuild it. (easy) Much better carb! Those two mods are easy & cheap & work well with the Nutter.

    Right Turn and Hazard question....

Cool, glad you got it fissed! I do believe the CJ's & maybe the 87 & 88 YJ's did not have flashing side markers. I know my 90 does flash. Neither of the two wires is really grounded, until the flasher or something does it. Not really sure how they work it, but if there is a ground it's further...

    Lift Kit Rear Axle Offset

My 90 YJ used to do that. Since I have leaf springs, I ditched the track bars & now the axle is centered. Coil springs need the track bars though, so X2 on the adjustable swap.

    4.0 vs. 4.2

While I never had a 4.0L jeep, I did have a 4.0L ford exploder. I know nothing of an EFI setup, being the caveman I am. I do understand carbs a little, & my 1990 (last year for a carb) has the MC2100 I swapped in. It works pretty well with the Nutter & the Teamrush ignition upgrades. The...

    Right Turn and Hazard question....

Have you checked the wire harness at the rear of the vehicle? (also the front marker lights.) Sometimes the pigtail connectors can get pulled apart, or otherwise broken. Also look inside each lamp base for rust & corrosion.

    Carpet: In or Out?

The first mod I ever made was to toss the carpet. Love the option to hose the mud out. Floor pan does get a little warm sometimes, but I rarely drive a stick shift with flip flops. Sound deadening is only needed if you have a really loud exhaust.

need some help not sure what gear to run in

Back in the day, folks used to cut a spare set of rims & weld a ring in between the halves. This made them extra wide, so they could fit really wide tires. A set of four drag slicks, or some dirt track tires would work well. Run them at about 12-15psi. Flotation on the sand is the general...
