    The OFFICIAL Random thread

Back in my wilder days some friends and I paticipated in this event, all I can say is wow! It sounds real corball, but only hardcore partiers need apply! The town gets bombarded by tourists about 10 times its capacity. When the bars close, you are forced to face the elements (sub o*) and stand...

Tube bumper. Wasnt my 1st choice, but not alot of choices out there for intermediate, and the price was rite. Also I like the seperate hitch kit idea that Rugged Ridge offers with this setup. Yea its a bit premature, but sometimes when you come across a deal, well you know. Finding one for the...

    * 69jeepcj / I dont trust the fuel/temp on the factory speedo either, but Im just adding the guages I think are necessary (on the 80 cj) and keeping the original. I havent decided how this one is getting wired yet. Or what to do with the dash so...

*flatie 46 / "When" I get old? My grandsons are both 5 =) and they LOVE the Jeep (of course!) Is it unrealistic to think they will be driving mine 10 yrs from now? (I have 2, one for each) ;)

Oh 'She"willy wasnt a dead giveaway? Lol Well heres a question. How necessary are all those indicator lights on the dash? Do I need a light to come on to tell me my wipers are on etc? Seems like just more wiring to worry about. idk. All opinions welcome.

Ill try to keep this short! Never buy a Jeep site unseen! (doh) I learned how involved and pricey an SOA mod would be, if done rite. A properly sealed gasket, is a happy gasket. I should have paid attention when my ex rebuilt all those carbs on the kitchen table =( A 40 yr old Jeep has had many...

Nope, Ive got a good idea where it is, thanks. Yes, everything did change in 76, do I admit knowing this when I went with the 75? Ok yes, I did. Thought it would up the challenge a bit, and yes, it did! Did I need that additional challenge? Survey would prob say no! Dont be surprised if I look...

Above pic note clean diff cover. Last week pulled it off to change the fluids, and gaskets... Bone Dry! John and Kev said it was like opening an egyptian tomb! Dust and spider webs, theyve never seen anything like it. Kev got sick afterward for like a week, and swears some kind of mummys curse...

Heavy duty tie rod and drag link. Again, bent up parts that needed replaced due to the half ass soa. Need to make a steering stabilizer to fit it.

Thanks for the support and interest in my build guys! Im pretty excited at this point! I think youre right about repairing the dash, they are impossible to find new, and too much work to drill out yourself. Plus it will be original, which is what im shooting for. Ive seen Jeeps with new...
