i sold my 1980 cj5 to my dad and now he wants to sell it and get a bike.
first the bad so i dont waste your time. typical rust of a 1980 jeep, body and frame. floor boards have been replaced but the body has been bondo'd in some spots. it may need a slave cylinder for the clutch because all of the fluid leaked out. i re-filled it and it hasnt leaked yet but we will see. it runs good but it does "rattle". no radio installed at all. and the battery dies if you leave it sit for a couple of days.
the good......even though its a 4 banger it runs and pulls real strong. i put on a 4 bbl holley carb with an offenhauser intake, accell hei distributor, headers, free flowing exhaust. it is sitting on 33 inch mud kings and a 2 inch shackle lift. the soft top is real nice, its a bestop with full soft bestop doors. it has been primarily a trail rig and would make someone else a nice trail rig. or you could get it just to part it out. if anyone has any questions let me know and i will try to answer them. i cant post pics but i will email them to anyone who wants me to. this will probably be a best offer deal or we can negotiate any trades.....thanks
