1987 yj oil leak

I have a oil leak on the left side rear of my engine between the intake and valve cover. I haven't got the jeep home to wash it yet but I'm wondering if it's just the valve cover or a cracked head? Does anyone know if there is a oil jacket in that area?

Is the engine seal in good shape? Normally it fails first than a crack in the engine, check it out and keep us posted, Make sure is from the engine and not from transmission or a spring

The plastic valve covers from that era are known to warp over time. If thats where the leak is, The only fix is a new cover.

Yep plastic valve cover was the prob. When I took it off I could see a lot of cracks.
