1995 YJ 2.5l Timing Chain Question

Hey Guys,

Just replaced the timing chain on a 1995 YJ 2.5l but I forgot to put the timing chain snubber in. The million dollar question is that is the timing chain necessary and should I open the engine up and install the snubber?

Thanks,

Pat

I don't know what you mean about a snubber, but I can tell you, since I have done this replacement myself, that there are no extra parts in there, so I would open it again and do it right. And don't worry, you are not the first to have extra parts left over after assembling a part of your Jeep!

:agree: There may be some things I would "short-cut", but the timing chain would not be one of them. Might as well do it right.
