I am purchasing a 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4.0 straight 6 stock 150,000 miles on it. You turn the key and it starts runs for about a second shuts off. If I give it gas it revs up and shuts off. Does this both in park and neutral. I was told it could be a map sensor. Is this true or am I wasting money purchasing this vehicle?
