So my group had the worst trail nightmare today. We were doing Sunflower Mine AZ and my buddy's tj snapped his rear right axel shaft in the rear d35. The Jeep is stranded out in bfe and blocking the trail. Question is what spline is it so we can grab one and go back and fix it n get it out of there. The broken end is mostly gone and I count 15 on what's left which is about 50%. I'm thinking its a 30 spline. Can someone help me figure it out?

all jeep D35 are 27 spline stock, may sure you get the correct side shaft, they are not interchangable. also, when this has happened, to get the jeep off the trail, pull the inner broken part out, put th eouter portion of the shaft back in and lash a hi-lift handle ot a tree trunk or something to the side of the jeep to hold the tire in the housing and drive off the trail. year and year ago, we had a guy so messed up, broken shaft, torn LCA mount, we took the tire off all together and lashed a log from the frame and then under the rear axle and drobve out of paragon that way.. it was in JP magazine :-)

I've seen that pic. I've also seen one with a piece of a kids plastic play house.
