1999 DIFERENTTIAL replacment

:mrgreen:Hi!! my Grand cherokee 1999 ( 4x2 ) 4.1 need a new differential!!
I went online and I found out that MINE has a DANA 35 with 3.55 GEARS!
here is my question!! I see JEEP is using the same diferential from older models since 1992!
if I get a diferential from a jeep for exemple 1994 with the same gears ( dana 35 with 2.55 gears ), WILL IT FIT IN MY 1999 Grand Cherokee??

Welcome to the Z.

Jeep changed the body style of the Grand Cherokee in '98, not sure if anything changed with the rear axle or not, I'd bet not. As long as it is from a grand cherokee and 3.55 gears it should work.

What exactly happened to yours?
