2000 ZJ door locks

So my granny has 2000 ZJ and her door locks make this really bad grinding noise when ya push the lock or unlock button(works perfect, just the noise)..my uncle has the same year jeep and the same problem. Anyone else have this? or is it just family luck? I heard people say it happens alot with that exact year and model...anyone else had this happen?

i'd pull the door panels and hit 'em with some lube...

Thats what i told her..'eh. She'd rather pay jeep to fix it..she won't let me open it..even though i'm a locksmith and i open a door panel on average 3 tmes a week. 'eh..
