Two things you can try and might help are the TV cable (kickdown cable) hooked up near the throttle (linkage on the motor). This is fairly easy to adjust, but you´ll need the book. This cable also controls shift pressure. Another is putting the rear axle up on jack stands and shifting from low to reverse at low RPM this creates a back pressure which can dislodge crude in the valve body. Don´t over do it, as this also wears the clutches. A really gunked up filter will also cause shift delay. As well as out of adjusted or severly worn bands (clutches).[addsig]
