What kind of work modification is required to install that in my 1997 jeep wrangle 4 cylinder. Also which is the beat tb spacer I should get?

Is there a restrictor anywhere in a stock 97 intake for the 2.5?

Restrictors: Some have 2 (one at the intake and another where the flexible hose connects to the airbox. Some only have one.

No mods are needed for the TB. You do need to swap the IAS housing from the 2.5L TB to the 4.0L TB, but you do not need to modify anything.

You will need a '96-'04 throttle body from a 4.0L, and don't get caught up in the gimmick spacers with the helix bore or fancy swirl fins. I run a 62mm throttle body on my 2.5L, much larger than the 4.0L TB, and no taper beneath the throttle plate so throttle response is lightning quick.

I'm getting mixed reactions on the 4.0 tb. What will it do for my 2.5? Will I have to bore out my intake manifold? What u have to do to get the 62mm? That's sounds like what I need

You do not need to bore the intake opening to run the 4.0L throttle body. You will see slight improvements but nothing like the 62mm TB.

You should bore the intake opening to take full advantage of the 62mm TB, it's easy to open up as it's made out of aluminum.

I sell 62mm throttle bodies and spacers at a very reasonable price. PM or email me for details.

Yes, it is. You just need to be careful not to leave any shavings in there!
