4WD Light

My 4wd light doesn't come on in my 97 TJ. The 4wd works but I would like the light to also work. Any ideas on how to fix it?? Thank you

Crawl underneath and look for wires to the transfer case. The wires by the tailshaft are the speed sensor. The wires by the shift linkage are to the 4wd light switch. Switch might be bad or broken wire.

Okay thank you I'll check. I know it's not the bulb because I replaced it a year or so ago.

on my 88 the 're is a vacuum switch on the firewall near the battery vacuum comes from the front axial vac motor when in 4wd .

A TJ is a LOT different.
