After my first stuck the other day (it was a doozie, didnt have digital camera tho =( I have decided to go up to the 8 inch long arm set up. I originally was going to go 6-6.5...but I have changed my mind. Spoke with an offroading company and they suggested rock krawlers kit. I like their warranty..but not having to weld onto the frame (new control arm brackets.)
rustys is completely bolt on...but I have heard he doesnt stand behind his products as much as he should.

Just wondering what you guys thought. Any suggestions? thanks fellas and ladies =Þ

RE: Throttle body help

i ordered a rusty's kit and would certainly do it again. i'm not sure who told you they dont stand behind their product but i'm calling their bluff right now!

88 wrangler stalls Help Please!!

thanks dingus...yeah I ordered their air tube and the 6x9 k&n filter off of them and everything went smoothly and it was a nice transaction so maybe ill join the bluff calling. Cant wait!!

RE: Boyd Coddington is a loser!

Rusty stands behind his products, always been a pleasure dealing with him. He's had shipping issues that seem to be an ongoing problem, but he comes through in the long run.

I met some of the folks from Rusty's at the PA Jeeps all breeds Jeep show this weekend. Good people.

I have owned a few of their products and am getting ready to put their 4.5" XJ leaf packs on my Jeep.

For a bolt-on kit look at Full Traction's XJ 4 link long arm kit. If you are going long-arm, it is a much better kit than rock krawler or Rusty's as it doesn't use radius arms so the caster stays true throughout the entire range of articulation.

Twisted, I wish someone made an 8 inch Long Arm kit w/ 4 leading link front axle mounting (as far as I know no one does.)
But could I coil space and shakle Full Tractions 6 inch to make it around 8 inches? Or would that mess up their set-up? I will be, hopefully not too far down the road, be installing new winchable front bumper and winch and a new rear bumper and tire carrier, with that in mind I still want to run 35's. So I want something that can support the extra weight and hopefully not sag too much. Thanks a lot guys for ur help and input. I could sit here all day and ask you questions =)

RE: Doetsch Tech shocks

i've heard rock krawler has had some issues in the past with the joints on their long arm kit. not sure if they've fixed that.

the rusty's one doesnt look that strong to me. the no welding is nice if you dont have a welder, but i'm sure you could find a friend that can help you do that. look at the pics on rusty's site of how the arms mount to the frame rails, now the chances of those ripping off are hopefully low, but i'd just feel better with a subframe welded there.

check out www.claytonoffroad.com i know a bunch of people that run clayton's and they love em. its a can't bust it lift. requires welding though.
