90 jeep cherokee stalls !help!

i have a 90 jeep cherokee 4.0 V6 and it keeps stalling on me. usually while in idle or turning, it always starts right back up. I have changed the dist. cap, the plug wires, the spark plugs, fuel filter, had a fuel injection cleaning service, fuel pump pressure test, overall diagnostic. I've had it at 3 different mechanics and can't find anything wrong. I've read many posts elsewhere with the same problems but no one has a solution. I'm hoping someone here can help!!!!!

It sounds like your CPS is intermitant. Mine did that and when I replaced it I got a bad one from the dealer that did the same thing. The third one that went in fixed it. It is easy to replace and I wrote a little article on how to do it.

It doesn't have an Inline-6 engine? Just curious :mrgreen:

I agree with sound man about the CPS being the problem, they can act up without warning :roll:

hey, thanks for the quick reply! I read your post about having the same problem, I can't find it right now but I think I remember yours not starting right back up. Do you still think it could be the same thing.

I sure do!

The part is cheap and easy to replace. If it does not fix it keep the old one in the glove box and we will keep trying to help you out. If it ever does go out you are not moving. I carry an extra in mine.

Here's another idea. Have you replaced the 0-2 sensor?
