97 wrangler sahara overheating when idle.

My wrangler is overheating when idle, and then quickly cooks down when you get going. Fan is spinning when it is on. What could it possibly be, and where should I start?

Coolant full? Thermostat should be checked. Your jeep is a 'TJ', you should post in that section for a better response.
