Hmmmm.could use a little more information, like milage, 4 or 6 cylinder, and type of driving you do. Off hand I'd say it could be your fuel filter being clogged, but then again it could be the fuel pump. Anyway you look at it, the engine is not getting enough fuel to keep it running properly ( or maybe to much). Please update your post to include more details. Does it happen all the time, or when it's hot, cold. Things like that.
i have a 98 and i know it does't have a fuel filter the only filter is in the tank take a look at your air filter. Check you plugs and wires . it could be the filter in the tank is cloged but i would rule out the simpler things first [addsig]
