Hey guys! I'm new top the board, and hope I'm in the right place for the post. Well, here goes. I have a problem with my 99 TJ Sport. Every now and then, I have trouble with the button on the shifter depressing. I push on the brake to release the button, but it seems as though it is locked up for some reason. I can feel the button go in a little when I push on the brake, but it doesn't go in all the way to where I can put it in gear. It doesn't do this all the time, maybe just 3-4 times a month, but it gets pretty annoying! I've pounded on the button, rocked the Jeep, shifted from 4H, 4L, and 2WD and nothing seems to work! Then after about 5-10 minutes of "working" on it, I finally get it to release. I hope someone out there has had the same kind of experience, so I can get this corrected. I apologize if this topic has already been addressed. If it has please point me in the right direction. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance! [addsig]
