A MUST or not?

Wondering if an axle swap is a must for running 34x12.5 tires and if it would be a good idea to go with the Tom Woods driveshaft when purchasing the AA SYE. (In a round about way...what are the MUST haves when lifting 6-6.5 inches) Thanks alot boys n gals...purchasing lift soon! =)

alot has to do with how you plan on driving it.
Stock axles would be fine if street driving is all you plan on doing.
If rock or mud is in the future something stronger is recommended

If you have a D35 axle, 34" tires will be hard on it. If you like to wheel it even moderately, carry backup axle shafts because breakage is a very likely thing. You should also re-gear for 34" tires as your stock gear ratio will be hard on the transmission and your Jeep will be a slug.

If you do a SYE you will definately need to replace the driveshaft. Tom Woods is an excellent choice.

RE: Dynomax mufflers?

You can also shorten a front XJ/TJ front driveshaft for a bargain CV driveshaft solution.

Swapping axles depends on how you wheel, you'll be okay for light trail riding. Any tough obstacles or hard throttle romps will snap the rear axleshafts quickly unless you run a 8.25" rear axle or larger.

RE: Jeepz.com videos

8.25" axle with 29 splines to be specific. The 27 spline is only slightly stronger than the dana 35.
