Ok heres the story...
I want to add four dash lights to illuminate the ash try, cig-lighter and have that light shine on my transfer case shifter. Nothing major but just a few finishing touches. Easy right? NOT!
To this date I have spent over 30$ trying this bright idea.
First visit was to Radio shack.
No no they told me 12 volt LED's would be way too bright! 5volts should do the job.
1) resistor
3) 5 volt LED's
3) LED's holders
1) package of solder...never can find that tube!
Well last weekend I drilled and hacked into my dash wiring system and burned my finger trying to solder those little LED's to the wire.
After several hours and a few beers to nurse my hurt finger....it looks good I have lights!
Friday working good.
Saturday...one of the LED's starts strobing on me.
Sunday...Its a Disco party in my jeep.
Monday morning drive into work... The Disco action is down to one light since the other two burned out.
Monday night....back to Radio shack again....shut up I want 12 volt LED's .
Later Monday night Radio shack I need a tube of solder.
Tuesday night another burned finger right hand this time.
Wendsday...looking good and bragging to my Jeep co-worker( yes he is jealous!)
Thursday... Working
Friday...dang it the Disco party is starting, one light!
Saturday...wife is laughing about the Disco party! All three blinking...out of time I have to say! Really!
Sunday...Temper tantrum and no lights!
Monday...checkers auto for bling bling type of lights...why is a jeeper shopping in the rice burner isle? I hope none of my fellow jeep club friend see me! This could ruin my jeeper standing in the community!
Now before I dig into the dash and see how bad I ripped the wiring system up with my temper tantrum and install these bling blig type of lights that goes on the hood of a ricer does any body have a suggestion for better lights?
I really would like to end this story by Friday!
