annoying fan

i just bought an 87 jeep wrangler thats a beast, but it has a fan that stays on after the engine is off for sometimes up to 5 or 6 mins. its a very loud and annoying fan and i was wondering if there is a way to make the fan go off when i turn off the engine.

Yup, just wire the power to the temp switch to a switched power. You may want to wire in a relay to protect the rest of the wiring tho.

Your carburetor is not stock? If its not, there is a switched connection in the plug that used to plug into the Carb/intake by the firewall. That's what I run my electric fuel pump off.

I have an 87 also
