is there a swap list of what jeep donor axles are most likely if not out-right fit into what? I have an 84 cj-7 and see stuff for sale cheap on CL but dont know whats a bargain and whats a waste of money. there's a 74 wagoneer on CL right now for $700 with a 360 and th400. how sweet would it be to get the 360 and 2 good dana 44s for $700 and then sell the trans?

The front d44 will work but the rear axle likely has an offset diff & won't work.

A Scout 2 Dana 44 rear is a good swap in a CJ.
