I have a '76 CJ-5, AMC 360, 4" lift and 33" tires, T-176 4 sp. and Dana 300 t/c. Problem is, after a swapped in the 360, the Stock alum. AMC bellhousing keeps cracking. I have repalced it 3 times in 2 years. Any ideas to remedy this? Anyone besides lakewood ever make steel bellhousings? Lakewood stopped making the steel AMC bellhousing a few years ago.
