I have an 88 YJ. it continues to leak oil no matter what i do. I changed pan gasket, valve cover gasket, front and rear seal. After couple of months it starts leaking again. need help look like pig pin drivin around with a cloud around me.

Thanks, YJBeast

I know some, if not all, wranglers came with plastic valve covers. They leak!!! Get a metal valve cover, I believe they are kinda pricey though but not sure. with it being a 88 you may be able to use a cj,s valve cover as your engine is probably a 258. Its my guess that your leak is coming from the top of the engine as your cloud is probably oil driping onto the exhaust manifold. Others may have better solutions for you.

^^^ What he said, sounds like maybe excess crankcase pressure is blowing seals/gaskets. Have a compression test done to check for excessive blowby, it may be as simple as a PCV problem or it may be as serious as needing a rebuild or replacement to correct the blowby.

X 2. From the sound of how much oil you are losing I'm with Bounty Hunter. It could be a bum PVC but most often it is blow by if you have some mileage on the motor; I’ve seen the I6 go with only 60-70 K on the clock when not properly maintained.
