That's a nice guitar man. If I had an extra 2k I would buy it... And I would play it every day!

RE: Weeeee Are The Champions...

Told my brother about the Les Paul. He's got 2 of them, and about a dozen others, as well as some Yamaha and Ovation accoustics. He's more into sythesizers now, builds his own, but he might want another Les Paul!

I might trade parts or MAYBE all of it for a Stock to BUILT CJ-7 WideTrac or better axles. But we'll see, who would want to sell thier JEEP?

This may as well be one of my children!
You'd sell one of your children? Just messing with you, that is a nice one. I hope you've thought about it a lot, and know that the instant you sell it, you'll regret it.

RE: Need stock spring part numbers

Anybody see anything they like. . . make an offer on whatever, and we'll go from there. is any body even looking?

Talked with my bro again about the Gibson....he says that price is relatively low, if it's in pretty good shape. He's seen them go as high as $5000. Even though Gibson didn't make the best guitars of their career in the late '70s, people from that era are snatching them up right and left. But, I agree with Mud, don't sell it.....you will definitely regret it! It'd be like me selling my cameras. I sold the first SLR I ever owned a few years ago, and have been kicking myself ever since. None of the dozen or so I've owned since took the quality pics that one did. It was a Pentax K1000, all manual. I have two now, a Canon AE1 and a Canon T50. Both are auto exposure, and I hate them. Just can't get the right lighting to capture the moment with an auto.....but, alas, I ramble forth. Don't sell the Gibson!!!

I've got a '79 Gibson J-55 (acoustic) that I bought new in 1979. Considered selling it many times - hung on to it. Broke the truss rod years ago (don't try to adjust them with alchohol involved!!), paid a luthier $600 to fix it, and now I play it daily - sweetest sound I've ever heard!! Money comes and goes, but the music lasts forever! Glad to hear you changed your mind!

Same way I feel about my Ovation acoustic/electric....bought it used in '84 for $600, gave it to my brother when I quit playing, then he gave it back to me a few years later. Haven't played in so long now, all the good callouses are gone from my fingertips!!
