We have just installed a weber 34 DGEC on an 84 CJ with 258 and manual trans. The carb has PCV port on one of the adapter plates, a vac advance port on the carb and the jeep has a manifold vac port. The carb does not appear to have a bowl vent. It is now time to hook up the vac lines but would like a little help with the following:
PCV out (front of valve cover): hose from pcv to port on adapter plate. Should this line be T'd to vapor canister pcv port?
CCV in (rear of valve cover): hose from air filter. Should this line be T'd and connected anywhere else?
CTO valve (2 port): I have a vac diagram picked up on a forum for the Weber and I think it shows the CTO getting vac from a T in the vac-dist advance line. Is this ok to T this line? Will it effect timing? Does it matter what port of the CTO valve it is hooked up to (front/engine side or back/carb side)?
In the diagram it looks like the second CTO port is connected to the purge of the vapor canister with the EGR valve T'd in between. Is this correct?
What is hooked up to the manifold vac? Do I need a vac reservoir and if so, how is it hooked up and can someone tell me how the reservoir works?
Since the carb has no bowl vent should I cap this that inlet on the vapor canister or does something else connect here?
Sorry it's so long and thanks for your help. Rob
