Carr side steps

i am looking to get some steps for my jeep but do not want a nerf bar or anything like that i have to attatch to it. i was looking at the carr steps and was wondering has anyone else had them? how would you go about installing them? and did they work well for you?

I kinda like these

If you plan on doing any offroading beyond driving down a dirt road, wouldn't bother with those, I am guessing first obstical that could come remotely close to your rockers will remove those steps quite quickly

My only problem with those is if your Jeep is very tall I don't know where you could mount those that they would do much good.
