CJ 5 body mods

I haven't researched this much so if this is a stupid question I'm blaming it on the heat. Can anyone tell me why I couldn't modify the tub on my '79 CJ5 to accept CJ7 doors? I mean without using duct tape.

Yep, I figured I would have to cut out and modify the the door openings. I love my old CJ5 but when you are a 60 year old fat guy the hump in the door opening gets to be a pain in the... well, you know.
You ain't kiddin' it's hot, 31 days of ambient temps and heat indexes over 100 degrees here in central MO. I have lost some of my fear of hell tho.

Won't work, your have to cut into the dog house of a wheel well. plus the metal between the door and the wheel opening will be awefully thin.
