Hello, I am new to the jeep world. I have a 2007 sahara wrangler 6 cyl manual. Too many times I have been stuck trying to get it to start. Narrowed it down to the clutch interlock, cause sometime i slam the clutch in hard and it will start. Heard that there is a way to bypass the interlock. Can someone tell me how. My owners manual was in french so it does me no good.

This is a dangerous thing to do! If you choose to do this be aware of what can and may happen. When you bypass the clutch interlock, there is the direct ability to start the engine without pushing the clutch in. This will propel the jeep forward if it is in gear. If the engine should start the vehicle will move and gain speed. Because of this movement, you may hurt others, yourself, or cause property damage. And likely damage to your vehicle.

I recommend determining what parts are bad and replacing them. The CKP will cause sn intermittent start issue until it fails. Then there is no start.

There is a fuse you either pull or install in the fuse box.

Welcome to Jeepz.com. I don't know answer to your question, but you can download a new owners manual from Jeep for free here:

Terry thank you for the link to the manual.

JPNinPA I understand the dangers involved. I have been driving a manual trans since 1985 before interlocks. Thank you for the reminder as you do not know my age. Is there another way around starting it until I can replace it so I won't have to keep bump starting it when it doesn't work?
