clutch problem,90 yj!

Well I. Changed the clutch and throw out bearing and pressure plate, and when I bleed the throw out, it works great for a little bit but when I come to a complete stop my 1st and reverse starts to grind, as if the clutch is not engaging! I changed the hose from the m/c to throw out and and I still am getting alot of air! Do u think its time for a new m/c seeing its the original! And any other tips on bleeding it out! I tried the Mason jar method

It sounds to me like you must be getting air back into the system. Perhaps the bleed fitting isn’t sealing when tightened or something is cracked. I'd start at the top and work down another time.

Found out my problem! I guess Chrysler started throwing stuff together in the 90's! My original throw out bearing is the same as a 90 wagoner L6, and the throwout I have now is for a 90 wrangler L4 and I need the wagoner throw out bearing! Could Chrysler make things anymore difficult! Especially when I own a 90 wrangler! Oh well going go pull the transmission again!

My 89 was a very difficult bleed when I changed the clutch, you may have the same problem and have air in the line. There is a chance you can gravity bleed the rest of the air out by jacking up the front end as high as you can or feel comfortable with.
