I have a 1981 cj7 and I cant find where i connect the wiring to it, i have another cj thats a later year i am looking at and i see where its connected, but when i go to look for mine, its not in the same spot and i cant really find anything, is it somewhere els eon the earlier models? and also i have a yj tub that its mounted too, could it possibly be that the part of the firewall there is a bit different from the cj which is why i cant get to it?

The e-brake switch connects to the red brake warning lamp on the dash/ gauge. Trace the wire from the bulb and you'll find the connector.
yes i know it connects to the dashboard, but im installing mine because i am rebuilding my jeep, and i hooked up the whole e brake and have it ready to go to the dash but i cant find were the wire connects on the e-brake, i checked my other cj and found were it connects but i can find it on mine, it seems different on mine for some reason.
