hi all is it possible to reset the ECU on Cherokee sport 2.4 2002 ? as it has come up showing engine trouble but it is running fine, it`s not overheating.
all I have done is change the engine oil air filter plug`s now this. Is it possible for me to do it myself, as I have been told by the main dealer`s £100 pound`s just to look at it. help help this motor is draining me dry.

A battery disconnect is the only reset you can do without using the computer. If the SES lamp comes back steady, then there's going to be an evident issue that needs to be resolved before it goes away.

Over here, most auto parts stores will scan the vehicle for trouble codes for free. In hopes to sell you replacement sensors of course. They should also be able to reset any codes so it'll clear the light.
