Emission issues on 2002 jeep wrangler 4.0

Got a code PO443 evaporator emission control system purge. Changed the purge valve and did a smoke test to tank and through intake and found one little leak. Reset the computer and still get the same code. Inspection is due next month and need to resolve this issue. Any thoughts!!

Was the valve installed in the correct direction? Check all connections including at the canister.
Also the cods do not clear immediately. It may take a few days, if you reset the codes you may need a fixed number of starts data to pass inspection.

The only place o can think of is at the gas tank. I've been fighting with this about 6 months. Just was hoping not to have to drop the gas tank
