Engine misfire

I have a 92 YJ 4cyl. After I went splashing through the surf at the beach last week Ive noticed that in the morning when i fire it up it misses out like its running on three cylinders. After a few minutes its fine. I thought it may be water in the fuel so I topped it off and added gas treatment. It has done it once more since then. The area where I live is humid and it only does it early in the AM. Any other thoughts on this?

Have you checked your distributor cap to see if it's cracked? If moisture gets inside, that can cause engine miss. Also check your ignition wires to see that there are no cracks and that they are firmly plugged in.

early in the morning, before sunrise. with the lights out start the engine and look under the hood. you should be able to hear and see where it's arking.
