engine will not idle hard to start when warm

I'd start by cleaning the carb before I did the bypass. Spray it out with a can of carb cleaner and see if that helps.

i have an 1948 cj3 1/2 cab runs great just a little cold in winter "no heater" need to get the 84 2.5 tweked out for better mileage a farm work ride
