Factory rack removal HELP

Hey, I'm a new cherokee owner. I've bought yakima control towers to attach to my roof, but can't quite figure out how to remove the crossbars of the factory rack. if someone knows how and can give me basic directions, I would GREATLY appreciate it! Thanks

Hi, welcome to the board!

You didn't say what model year you have? On the earlier models you have to remove the torx head bolts at either end of the track. Then the end of the track will pop off. Next you just slide the bars down the track until they slip out. :mrgreen:
