Fuel spewing from top of gas tank????

Has anyone had an issue with gas spraying from the top of the gas tank? I got underneath and saw that it is a hose coming off the fuel sending unit( I assume).......Pretty sure tat it's just old and dry rotted. Can I just change the tubing and go from there? I kinda wanna get back on the road.
It I the smaller hose (diameter) if that helps

It's a big thing on 04-06 tj. Look at the fill tube and breather tube. Make sure they are not bent or obstructed.

I just re read. Top of tank not the fill tube.. Sorry. Yes leaks occur at the fuel pump/ sending unit gasket or where the fill and breather tubes enter the tank. If it is a metal tank, it could be rotting.
