Gas Mileage

I was wondering what kind of gas mileage other CJ's got with a 304 v-8 in them. Mine just seems extra crappy but I just bought it so we'll see. Also my gas gauge doesn't work, what's the best way to trace the problem and fix it?[addsig]

i dont have a 304 but w/ my 258 i get from 12-14 got 15 once.....haha[addsig]

the guage problem will be anywhere from the guage being bad, a bad connection somewhere along the line, or even a bad fuel guage sending unit (located in/on the tank)[addsig]

Can't give a definite number yet, but since I replaced a bad intake gasket I think it doubled! I've got a goal to have the best MPG out of a 304. LOL

Fuel injection and mileage cam. My javelin got 23 mpg at 110 km. Hr. My 92 Cherokee gets about 10 with my 33s.
