Ive got a 97 wrangler with a 4cyclinder engine and 35 inch tires , something broke in the rearend and I need to see about putting different gears in it to make it a little more efficient on the street I don't ever use 5th gear as it is already wound out What gear would you recommend and any help finding someone to install would be great
thanks kyhookster

4.88 gears, it's as low as you can go in the stock axles and it's still not low enough for 35" tires. I run 5.38 and it's about right.

You will keep breaking rings or shafts wheeling hard with 35's if your rear is still a d35. Lower gearing will help but may hit he weak spot.
