what oil must i use and why?
according to the jeep suppliers in south africa i can only use some very expensive oil and a friction addative?
if any one know how it works please tell me .

Sorry, I don't know what a "gerotor pump" is. :-? Never heard of one. Can't offer an explanation for it. Driveshafts? From the Grand Cherokee? If you want to use the driveshafts from the Grand on a CJ-5, no they won't work, Different frames, will have different lengths. Different transmission and T/Case locations. You might be able to have one of them shortened to use on the rear.
The oil, any GL-5 85W90 will do. The addative they spoke of is for limited slip differentials with clutch packs. The addative helps the clutches.
An "auto" in a CJ-5 can happen, but the auto will have to very small. Advanced Adapters can supply you with a catalog that can tell you everything you want to know about swapping anything into anything.
