Header cracked

i have the banks 409 stainless headers and it is cracked in 3 places and not even 6 months old ughh.. when i bought it i ordered 304 stainless and that is what is on my invoice but the tag that came on the headers said 409 stainless.. i didnt bother to send it back because i was in a rush. anyway i was wondering how it would hold up if i weld it with stainless rods

It should hold up. Just make sure u grind the cracks at a nice angle so u get good penetration and more surface area to weld to.
