Just joined and would like some honest feedback about Jeeps from members that likely know much more than I do. I don't know much about Jeeps having never owned one but thinking strong about a Wrangler or Cherokee, mostly Wrangler. I'm not rolling in money so I plan on spending about 5K to 7K and would like something with fuel inj. I would mostly use it for practical vehicle locally and just a bit of mild off roading, don't plan on beating it. Also what I really enjoy is getting out after a snow storm before roads are plowed and going through drifts. From what I hear, the 4.0 inline 6 cyl. has a good reputation, but how is the 4 cyl. for durability. Also is it the quadra trac where all 4 wheels will spin no matter what? I lean towards Wrangler for the looks and there is just something about them, but could go Cherokee too. I especially want to know about differentials, you know 3 wheel drive verses absolute 4 wheel drive etc. Thanks in advance for any feed back.
