My neighbor is having problems with his 96 XJ. It will not start. I determined that it was not getting spark. Narrowed it back to the coil which tested bad. I replaced the coil but it still will not start. The weird thin is when I Put a test light on the posotive lead to the coil and he turns the ignition it will come on for a half second then turn off. Isn't this supposed to be full hot all of the time?
Another thing that has me curious is that when I checked to see if the rotor was spinning it was moving much slower than I would think but we were just cranking it. if this is odd let me know.
